In Groups of Three or more.

Early morning,

           I hear the crows caw,

          I open the door,

I look and see them there,

I did not see them come

Nor do I know from where.

For they come and go,

in groups of three or more

Each day they seem to say to me,

          Get up you lazy slug

Dig, toil, work your life away.

For we have no such worry,

                   Have no task or chore.

                   For we come and go,

In groups of three or more.

We annoy you at times,

          Especially early in the day.

                   we argue amongst ourselves,

                   you think.

but it is just our way of play.

          As we come and go

In groups of three or more.

At times we see you watch and observe us,

          Maybe you are even awed.

So, we watch and observe you,

                   And think you very odd,

          For we have no purpose,

                   Nor hoard or store.

          As we come and go,

In groups of three or more.

Mostly you think us useless and noisy

Our feathers to be used for quills,

                   Some to record deeds,

                             Pay Bills,

and many more for writing wills.

So in the end,

All you know when you close your door,

          Is we come and go,

In groups for three or more.
