This antique ledger desk came out of a weigh station office for a coal company.  Was structurally weak, draws could not be opened and had years of soiling from its environment.  Took many hours to repair to working condition, and then remove about 75 years of grim and stains.
Old 1950's Whirli-gig as they call them.  My father rescued this from the trash pile but never found time to repair it.  Took a new a propeller blade, and movement Americanism but it now proudly churning atop our daughters fence post.
These are projects that I bought, or found worthy of restoration.  Many had to have new parts made and installed, all had to be refinished to their original condition.
This is an old deacons's bench with storage chest under seat, its size indicates it was probably used in a childs room.  I found it in a thrift shop in poor condition.  Took some elbow grease and a lot of alcohol and steel wool to remove the shellac finish, once removed I used a cherry stain and amber shellac to refinish.  Tuned out very nice and was taken to auction where it sold.
Another old 1950's Whirli-gig , this one just needed some adjustment to the motion mechanism and a new coat of paint.
